Hi, anyone else with issues with screensavers not working (such as Aerial etc) since update to 13.3? - Minor hassle overall, the "standard" ones seem to work fine.

I have Aerial (as mentioned) Marine Aquarium, a Matrix screensaver etc, all of which give the blank screen in 13.3 since the update. My Mac (MacBook Pro 16 / M1 Pro / 16GB / 1TB) is otherwise working fine. Reboot etc not made any difference. I have two external screens (a 50" 4K and a 49" 5K SuperWide) and everything was perfect before the update. Thanks in anticipation.

Yes. Broken. Two MacBook Airs, one an M1 I use for work and an M2 for home use. Both computers used at home with a Studio Display, setting a photo album with any preset transition setting: broken. On the M2, I set the screen saver to the iTunes/Music album art preset, that works fine. The M1 MacBook Air -- none of the screen saver settings work at all. I don't have any Music on my work computer, so that screen saver doesn't work.

At my desk at work, the M1 MacBook Air does nothing with any screen saver. I use a DisplayLink dock, and none of the screens work with any screen saver -- the 2 external screens nor the built-in M1 MBA display will work with ANY screen saver setting.

Guess I'll just turn them off until 13.3.1 comes out. Believe me, I've spent off time trying ALL the screen saver settings and every possible configuration. The M2 MBA seems to be ok with just the iTunes/Music album art, and nothing else. The M1 MBA doesn't show ANY screen saver at all.

Thanks, whilst I am sad it's happening to you, it's also reassuring that it's not just me....... Sure Apple will fix this in the next release, and break something else in the meantime no-doubt.

Found one on the M1 MBA that works: Arabesque. That's the only one.

Very odd, this

You're right. Sometimes it feels like fixing some things break others. I hope 13.3.1 is in the works.

M1 Air. Ventura 13.3. Sorry to say that my screensavers (including Aerial) are all working just fine.

Just adding a data point.

Me too, and my experience seems very odd. My main computer is a 2021 M1 iMac. 2019 iMac for my secondary display.

I use a hot corner to activate a screensaver; with two displays active it never starts automatically, and never goes to sleep automatically, either.

When the second display is attached and active, none of my non-apple-supplied savers and some of apple-supplied ones only run on the second display.

But here's the weird part. This is how it works (ie: doesn't work) when I have the headphone jack selected for audio output (external wired speakers) but if I have the (awful sounding) iMac internal speakers selected, the saver is activated on both displays.

It worked (both displays, audio output didn't matter) before last night when I upgraded to Ventura 13.3.

Rant completed, oddly I don't feel any better.

Since I updated to Mac OS Ventura 13.3 the screensaver on my primary display stopped working. However the screensaver on my secondary display still works. Yet another bug introduced with Mac OS Venture 13.3

Mac OS Ventura 13.3.1 the screensaver on my primary 4k display stopped working. The screensaver on my secondary 1080 display still works. Glad it's not just me!

Yes

Running 13.3.1 with 2021 14" MBP w/ M1 Pro. Screen saver runs on 38" ultra wide but black screen on 14" MBP. When click to terminate screen saver, receive an error message. I report to Apple most times.

Mine quit and I was using my "photos library" Cant remember the exact fix but it basically came down to rebuilding the photos library IIRC, then opening photos, everything works, then closing photos and going back in and selecting my photos screensaver and then telling it to use the "photos library". It has been working fine since then.
