Anyone else have this annoying issue with Face ID?

Hi all,

So it's been nearly a week and really enjoying the new phone. However, everyday at least once, Face ID will just randomly stop letting me enter my phone and I need to restart. After restarting and entering with passcode, face id works normal again. Really annoying having to restart once a day ish.

Anyone else?
 
I can be sitting in the exact same position and look at the phone the exact same way, but approx 1 out of 10 times it randomly refuses to let me in. But I've found that if I tap "cancel" in the bottom right corner, it finally lets me in.
 
Has not happened to me, but if I her delayed in offering my face for ID then I get the pass code option. In order to access face ID I have to lock the phone and try again. This happens while driving.
 
Damn, maybe an issue with my specific phone. Hopefully software updates in the future will fix it, if not will pay a visit to an apple shop when i'm near one.

It’s an iOS 11 issue. Some people are reporting that with Touch ID as well
 
OP a few times I woke my phone up and it said to put in my passcode to activate Face ID. Kinda like when you have a few fails in a row which I didn’t.
 
It won’t let you enter as in it doesn’t take your face, or it doesn’t even present you with the option for FaceID? And it doesn’t let you enter the passcode until you restart the phone either?

No, it has not happened to me but I am trying to understand: it won’t even let you do a passcode or cancel and try again?

It attempts to take my face and then offers me passcode option which I can use to enter. However, regardless of how many times i enter my phone with passcode, Face ID will always say incorrect to my face until I restart.

Have you reset Face ID to see if you get better results?
