Works everywhere else, even my iPhone. Youtube, etc.. streaming services work fine. Started last night. I'm not sure if Apple released a TVOS patch but if it they did it broke something. Thanks.
You didn't mention what's not working about it, but I had an issue recently where the Prime app on my HD ATV just went black. I deleted and reinstalled it, and it's been fine ever since.Works everywhere else, even my iPhone. Youtube, etc.. streaming services work fine. Started last night. I've had that happen too with Prime (and Netflix I believe). I don't have a sense of where the problem originates, but it certainly is annoying.Siri will launch Prime app on Apple TV or the Apple TV remote will launch the Prime app without hesitation. The problem I have just noticed over the last couple of weeks is that after it launches and I select the TV series I am watching and either click resume on the remote or tell Siri to resume, it never starts where I left off. For some reason it has started going back 3-4 episodes every time. Even though there is a completed progress bar on the episodes I have watched, it still goes backward.
While I haven't noticed this in any other app, I have had an issue with the Hulu Live app also indicating that a few of my TV series in "My Stuff" keep showing 2-3 shows unwatched when in fact I have seen them all. Hulu Live recently had an update that was a redesign of the app and this was happening before that and has kept happening.
Do you think these are problems with the individual apps or is it an Apple TV issue?
So Annoying!I've had that happen too with Prime (and Netflix I believe). I don't have a sense of where the problem originates, but it certainly is annoying.
Same problem except Ive never had it hang mid-program. It almost never works next morning.Yep. We are having the same problem: it will hang on the "Prime Video" logo. Sometimes it will also hang in the middle of a show. As far as I have noticed, this does not happen in Netflix or Apple TV+. I have found that going to the Apple TV Setup and simply Restart will generally fix the problem. But it is annoying!
TGT is an HD source and is progressive, duh.I just tried the Prime app on my ATV 4K 2017 and it seemed fine. I watched a few minutes of a Grand Tour episode. Considering that is in 4K HDR, if it was going to screw something up it would be that I should think, but audio and video were both flawless.
After I installed 15.3 I began having issues with Philo though. I no longer use Philo so I can’t test it with 15.4.
It is quite possible that Apple changed something that some apps will need to be updated for. 15.4 was quite a big update, so not much telling what they screwed up in the process
It looks like the same player UI as before to me. they could have changed to use a custom backend player, and not native player. But I have not had the app update recently that i noticed. and if it did, timing of it being same time as the 15.4 update would be is interesting. Not having this particular problem but I went into the Prime app after a while and now it's got it's own custom player interface going on, rather than the default Apple TV one. It's annoying, and gets rid of much of the slickness of Apple's UX. Wish I could go back.
