Well I really wanted a 64gb 3G on Verizon but Apple sold out 3 people ahead of me. I really should have been there but there was literally a fight to get into the mall at 6am between the group of chinese people who had pushed themselves to the front. Of course they all bought two so then there were none left for me. I was able to find a 32gb verizon white ipad at a target store on the way home but I cant decide if I should keep it or sell it to make up the difference for a 64gb model in a few weeks.
I'd say it depends on how much data you will use. Originally I bought a 64GB first gen model but only had less than 10gb on it. I was going to get another 64GB but could not find any. I wound up with a 16GB AT&T 3G iPad 2 model which will serve my needs just fine. I really did not need all that space originally. The fact that almost a year later I hadn't used it made my decision easy and I spent 200 bucks less than my original plan. I'll probably wind up using that saved money for a case and other goodies.
I gave up on the Apple store, but Microcenter seems to be getting them in on a regular basis if they are in your area. Picked up a white 32 ATT model just now. They got 12 of that model in and another 12 or so various other white models. Also scored a 32 black wifi over the weekend....happy hunting.
Side note, Microcenter limits one per person like Target. Seems Apple is the only one actually allowing two per person.

The mall didnt open till six but we were in line and the "security" made us leave and then things became unorganized.
While I hate it that you didn't get what you wanted, it's really kinda funny that a mall cop made MallCop leave the mall!

They just had no respect for Paul Blart. And the one who made us leave looked just like Gary Coleman.
