I am considering getting an orange SB, but may wait to see what new colors are released at the March event.I'm waiting to see what Apple does in March for new bands, so I'm a bit hesitant to spend money on a band.
I may be in the minority but with a month a way, I can hold off
I love my Product RED band. Nice and vibrant and perfect for when I'm wearing my Blackhawks stuff! There have been 3 sport band colors I have wanted to add, Stone, Midnight Blue and Product Red. Added the first two fairly quickly as supplies came in but still don't have that red one which looks so darn good on people. Thinking it might be nice to wear on Valentine's Day. So that might get purchased before the new release. Other than that I'm feeling set.

I've heard those rumors as well. I'm curious to see what apple would do and how different will it be from others at this pointI'm hoping rumours of a NATO-type band are true.

True, and already available at competitive prices.I think I'd only be interested if it's a true nato style strap, complete with cutout for heart rate sensor. As @testcard pointed out there's a lot of two piece options out there already.

I actually just bought one of those in grey last week, and I really like it.I'm hoping something along the lines of these bands are in the pipeline:

Agreed, I hope they're at the same price point as the SBs. They need an alternative at that price point to give people some options.I think clockwork synergy are still making a fair old profit on that price. There's not even any specific tooling needed over and above two piece nato straps that have been around for years (unlike if a company decided to make Apple-like sports bands) just the addition of an adapter, in this case a springbar one which can't cost much and takes seconds for them to install.
If Apple positions them as a dressier alternative to the sports band at the same price point, they're onto a winner. If they're in the same league as a Milanese loop then it'll need to bring something amazing to the table.
