Anyone else in the UK having problems with iCloud backup?

As title. As soon as I enable iCloud backup and start backing up, I get errors when I try and add anything to the calendar, and I can't save any new contacts.

Anyone had this problem?

yes..I have lost all my bookmarks and contacts. I wish I didn't bother with this PoS.
