First off, congrats to an upstart getting their product tot market, I can't bash anyone for trying. However they have a long way to go considering their initial patch rendered some/several of the tablets a paperweight. Don't care for the looks of the UI or the laggy, jerky UI that pretty much every Android tablet has had. Galaxy tab, various kirf knockoff, Archos and the cheap Kmart specials, all horrible IMO.

The C64 link provided... Is awesome and I would buy one to go with my fully functioning one I have at home. 20 lb 5 1/4" floppy drive and all. Purchased in 1983, used by my father to create estimating programs I use today. Also the first machine I learned to program on, very cool to see a remake, and way more exciting than another tablet. :)

I started on the Vic20 myself, but ended up with the 64, floppy drive, and monitor. I am putting the new one on my list. (Please be released).

Yea, like the Ink is even in the same league as the TI-99 or the C64. Who had the Commadore MODEM ?

Man you just caused me to bust out laughing. My uncle had one of the Commdore Modems..

As for the Adam. I heard some people weren't too happy with their PQ screen.

I had thought about getting one but the more I looked at it. I didn't like the form factor design. I didn't care for the swivel camera, seems like something that would break or start to flop around. Really don't care for the Eden UI.

I think the main thing though was support. It's a start up in India with no connections here in the US. How will I get it fixed if something goes wrong, how will the warranty be handled.

The top model to have it shipped here to the US is over $500. I figure if I'm going to spend that type of money. It would be better to put another $100 or so and buy something here in the states that can be serviced and that has been around for a while.

I'll keep my eye out for Adam2 :D

ETA:I was joking about the looking for the Adam2 but also heard that you had to put the matte screen protector on it that shipped with it to cut down the gloss. I think some people from what I've read are disappointed that you have to put it on, the specs made it seemed like the matte finish was built into the glass

Indeed. I am interested in the internal storage options and pricing and whether you can get it without the MS vig.

I was not at the outset, moreso now. I guess they think they can just dump any old half-assed crap on the market and it will sell.
