That was always one of the most annoying parts of iPhone series 6 - 11: The curved screen edges completing messing up screen protector installation 😡

Can't tell you how many times, even with an installation frame for the screen protector so it goes on perfectly, the curved screen edges would have the dreaded bubbles which would just not go away no matter how much time and pressure you gave it 🤬

Anyone else extremely happy we can finally keep our $1,200 device screens protected and install screen protectors easily due to the flat screen of the new 12 series? 😃

Edit: Yes... I know there will be some who say "Who cares? I never use a screen protector anyways" 🙄, but I find it pretty unacceptable to have useless curved edges on a $1,200 device, thus making screen protector installation a huge hassle and having to basically accept micro-scratches on your screen / oleophobic coating.

I completely agree with you on that. I hated having that half covered screen protector on my iPhone X. Finally full covered screen!

I posted same topic on accessories forum. I hope more companies will make film screen protector I don't like glass I just want scratch protection now that ceramic coating is on 12.

It's kind of nice. But at the same time, I've been using full coverage glass protectors along with sandwich cases, so the edges haven't been a problem for me.

I am loving the new design. I never like the rounded edges of the iPhone 6 - 11. I didn't like the look nor feel of them.

Plus, once the iPhone went with rounded edges, it lost its uniqueness, looking like every other phone out there.

Back on the day of the iPhone 6 announcement, I was busy and couldn't follow the live updates on MR. I remember later in the day going on MR, scrolling down the event updates to find out what was new, only to be confused when I saw an Android phone in the Apple Keynote, wondering why they would be talking about a competitor's phone.

Maybe comparing sales? But that isn't like Apple. It was only a few seconds before I realized that was the new iPhone.

The iPhone 12 is a refreshing sight. I may get it to replace my SE1, but I will really miss Touch ID.

I have an edge to edge screen protector with no bubbles. Was also easy to install if you get the kind that come with a plastic guide. Screen protector goes on perfectly.

I have never minded the slightly curved edges of the iPhone. It could be because I also have an Samsung S10 plus, which has very curved edges, and I gave up on screen protectors for it.

I'm more hopefull that with a flat front and back that Apple factories may actually fit the glass within the frame rather than having a janky, uneven fit with raised edges.

Supershieldz makes film ones for the 12/12 Pro already. I have a set arriving tomorrow from Amazon.
