Full screen mode is exactly what it says, no title bars, date/time, widgets...it would no longer be full screen. You can always use your apps maximized.

no, full screen to me means that it fills the screen, not meaning that it inhabits every inch of the screen. You should still be able to see the menu bar if you want to.

And you can, you just need to move your mouse to the top of the screen. I use dashboard for those "at a glance" things you stated earlier.

Oh you want "Fullscreen apps*"

Fullscreen apps* = App takes up most of the screen minus any other stuff you want to clutter it with.

Without a doubt, wouldn't be so bad if it appeared a little quicker. I also find that when I'm running fullscreen apps the dock does not appear instantly, you have to move it around at the bottom of the screen for about a second to make it appear.

Definitely miss the clock at a glance, and the way the menu bar folds over the content when activated is just ugly. In the case of iCal that makes for a full screen of ugly :(.

Fullscreen mode already saves enough height ditching the titlebar and some toolbar space, but they need to work on what shows and what doesn't, and what activates with the menu bar, e.g. Bookmarks bar shows with it in safari, so now I just leave it on, again so the process isn't so ugly.

Mail takes the cake though, not with fullscreen per se, but with the new favourites bar. You can now use that instead of the left mailbox pane ... except that as soon as you do a search and then leave it, it takes the bar with it *boggle*. so what could have been a spacesaver really fails.

It's a shame how much of Lion seems to be tacked on, at this point I'd almost rather they had released dp versions to us all, then at least complaints wouldn't be about the release version. And no, this doesn't happen with every OS X release, before everyone claims this again .

Some of you

I have been using Macs for quite awhile (10+ years) and truly enjoy them. But I do believe that they are NOT GODS of the industry. You read some of your post and you would think that apple feeds your family or something.

I have been looking for an answer to this for a long time. It is really annoying to move the mouse up to enter a new URL or search and have the Menu bar drop down and block your courser.

I like Brussels sprouts and you may not but does that mean that the grocery store should not sell them or should they just continue to give you the option to not buy them?

I would really like a fix for this Apple!
