YES and I am really hoping it is but we have the antenna issue to deal with ? Is the aluminum melded with a carbon fiber piece for the antenna to get through? That way it looks cohesive, useful and awesome? I like the way you think :D

Do you know what i would like? All carbon fiber!!! its way lighter and so much stronger than that plastic **** they have now!!

Can you say NO CRACKS!!!

Honestly I think the matt back looks kind of ugly. I think a nice black bezel and a reformed aluminum body would be better. I work for Apple as a sales rep and in many discussions with my bosses, the big thing that we have been pushing for the laptops is the unibody design, and how 'green' they are. If I had to guess, I would say that the new iPhone will follow a form factor closer to that of the macbooks. A nice piece of metal on the back. No more plastic. But that is just my guess.

The mock up that was posted a few days ago "Hello, Again". That is the mockup that I would put my money on.

The problem with metal is reception. We'd all like a metal iPhone, but it's just not a wise decision. What they need is a plastic material that doesn't crack. I'm also tired of all the glossy devices out there. They attract fingerprints and lint too easily.
