Houston (duh)
I have searched, and saw one post in another thread referencing this, but not a thread on it.
I cannot get my phone to show notifications on either my lock screen or banner when unlocked notifying me when my lost AirTag is 'found'.

I've tested this by leaving one in my car at the airport while I'm traveling. It gets "found" when people walk by it in the parking lot, but I get no notification on my iPhone.
I have all notifications turned on and enabled but nothing...

Doesn’t work for me either. A friend of mine is dog sitting and I have put an AirTag around the dog, market as lost, and no notifications for me. And my friend has his iPhone with him.

I've tried it once also, no luck
had my bag at work, with people going by. The location updated, but never got an alert

The AirTag i’m referring to above is not showing as been detected for the last two hours according to my items list. However my friends iPhone has scanned it so I know it is working.

If this is how crap the service is going to be, Apple need to rethink it. Then again they need to rethink a lot of things lately.

Just this second received an alert to say the AirTag has been seen at the address I know it’s at. This is after I disabled lost mode about an hour ago. Christ this is ****!!

Set it to lost again. No notifications after about 15 or so minutes. Turned off lost mode and received a notification after 2 minutes!

silly question, but their phone is up to date?
You need the latest version of iOS (or iPad or Mac) to forward location info to the "find my" network. But any phone with NFC, including iPhones on older OSes, will be able to scan and get the webpage to come up, but it won't necessarily update the location on the map.

Check out this previous thread. It might help.
