This past week at the office gave me a chance to see the new MacBook and MacBook Pro designs. My boss (who had been using an old Dell notebook) finally bought a MacBook, and then we had one of our International Directors come down to do some training material and while he was here we prepared his new MacBook Pro, and then got his old MacBook Pro ready to be used by our training coordinator with all her documents from the Black Macbook.
Anyhow, I was skeptical about whether I would like the new design when looking at photos, but using the new MacBook, the feel of the multi-touch pad was really nice and the overall look and feel of the keyboard was also nice. I liked the screen as well (very bright). The 15-inch MBP was the perfect size (though I love my 17inch MBP, and would want to get a 17inch version of one of these if the company was replacing this old one, not going to happen anytime soon).
It is amazing how Apple can a re-design to make people want to actually go out and get the new system. I am happy with what I have right now (and I do think that my Aluminum MBP is a very stylish machine as with my white MacBook) however the new ones give a look and feel that I like.
