Not sure if it's a temporary break or aiming to be more long term, but I wanted to add that I quit a little over 2 years ago and it was the best thing I've ever done.

Absolutely life changing.

I rate you for sticking at it, and I’m sure you must benefit not only from a health aspect, but also financialy!

I simply can’t do things in moderation, so it has to be all or nothing.

I actually quit, some years ago, and lasted for three years, but one day someone offered me a drink, and I gave in.

I’d actually like to lose some weight, so hopefully the drop in calories from the cessation of daily alcohol consumption will help with this.

It’s always best to be sober! I’m so happy to hear you’re doing great with your lifestyle changes.

About your issue, I noticed you’re not using Liquid Glass clock at the moment. Could you switch it on or off, and maybe tweak the opacity and translucency of the time?

Give your iPhone a restart. Also, try deleting and then recreating the lock screen.

I had a bug in iOS 18 beta where the date and widget above the lock screen time would disappear a few times, but  has since fixed that in an update.
