my wifi had become almost unusable during the evening in the uk.

since i installed 3.2.2 this morning the performance now appears almost as good in the evening as during the day. no hanging or stalling that i was seeing previously.

is this just wishful thinking or has a new os install made the difference? a temporary improvement possibly?

3.2.2? When did that come out?

I too have noticed problems.. It randomly fluctuates in signal strength and speed, I also have a dead pixel so I'm going to be getting a replacement when I go home. Only had it just over 2 weeks :/

The last update, whatever the number was, completely solved my wifi problems. It was a pleasant surprise, so much time had passed I thought Apple were never going to fix it.

Version 3.2.1 was the version that was to fix the Wi-fi issues in software, and it did. That is, no more strangely flickering Wi-fi indicator. Wifi has been pretty much perfect since then.

According to "Check for Update" in my iTunes connected to Australian Store there is no newer version than 3.2.1...

True.dat. 3.2.1 fixed my flakey wifi completely. Now it stays solid and no more flickering wifi icon for me connected to my Time Capsule, and no more random disconnects, either. 3.2.2 is JUST for the Jailbreak exploit patching.

I still had wifi problems with 3.2.1. I haven't noticed any problems since the latest update, but i'm not expecting it to change :(

I absolutely saw an improvement. I have Verizon FiOs at home and every time I would unlock my iPad, the wifi connection would be lost. I would have to toggle the wifi off and back on again to reconnect.

Ever since the update, this hasn't happened once! I'm very happy :D

Sometimes when software (here the iOS) is installed on a device, even by the manufacturer when it is new, the software can be corrupted on some devices, but not all. That is why some devices have problems whilst others don't. Updates can often rectify the problem by overwriting the corrupted parts of the code. It doesn't always work, but sometimes does. That is not definitely what happened here, but it is a possible explanation. The problem is, that the update can also introduce corrupted code for some devices. Luck be a lady tonight ....

I've only had a WiFi issue once, and it was after installing 3.2.1, but since then I've never been bugged by it again.
