At least initially? I'll probably hold off until 11.0.1 drops in a couple weeks or so. Mainly because I'm concerned about my battery draining quickly, which seems to always be the issue for me after a major iOS update.

I just reverted back to iOS 10 from iOS 11 because of the laggy animations. I've had the GM installed since it was announced and the lag never went away. I figure I will wait until .1 comes out and might address the laggy animations.

I think I will. I kept my SE on iOS 9 for a few months last year, and I didn't miss what I didn't have with iOS 10. My 7 is running so great right now that I just don't really want to mess with a good thing. I guess I might move my Air 2 to iOS 11 to try it out, but it's kinda old, and I don't trust that it won't slow down.

I'm not sure if I want to upgrade my iPad pro 12.9 2'nd gen. Crazy as it is, I just basically use it as a large iPad, to watch movies and read, all the work is still done on my computer. Currently the device is beyond blazing fast and obviously over capable for the software it's running so i'm not sure I want to get rid of that for features I may not use. First time i've ever questioned if I really want to update. I'm getting the 8+ so i'm more of less forced to update with the phone.

Although your iPad is basically the fastest iOS device there is, I still get what you mean. Why take a chance on messing up a good thing when your uses really don't require anything in iOS 11? Same way I feel about my iPhone 7.

It's a tough decision, I love updating, and the device obviously wouldn't slow down much, but it just works so -perfectly- now for what I need it do, and I'm getting 11-12 hours of battery average as well, I don't want to update and lose it:p

Side note: I know I'm not updating my family's iPad's to IOS 11. It complicates things far too much for what they would gain. My mom has lived without a computer and with an iPad since the iPad 3, during that time she has gotten very good and very used to the current IOS, and can do everything she needs a computer for on it, I'm not going to update it so she gets a bunch of power-user features she doesn't need along with a more complex OS.

iOS 11 work great on the ipad air 2 and ipad 12,9 first gen so there is no reason to not upgrade. But seriously, just try it yourself when it comes out. iOS 10.3.3 will be signed at least for 2 weeks so you can try ios 11 and if its not good enough for you just restore to 10.3.3

It is always wise to wait for at least a .1 or even .2 update. Let's be honest, there are millions of iDevices out there. Apple cannot just create a bug-free OS from day 1.

I would probably download iOS11 right away for my iPad Pro, and wait for a .1 for my iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6S.

I won't upgrade my iPad Pro or iPhone until the first update, but I do have an older iPad Air I keep around for just such an occasion. If it gets bricked, I can go about my day and not sweat it.

I will upgrade my devices. But I usually don't do it on the first day or so. But I think iOS 11 looks fairly promising for the iPad, Which I really want to experience myself.

iPad I'll probably go for it straight away, iPhone is less compelling (and older) so I'll probably wait for a later point update when it'll likely have been better optimised.

Pretty much this. iPad is already on the GM, some issues but worth keeping for the benefits. iPhone was on GM but then went back to 10.3.3 as there's not much difference and right now iOS 11 vs iOS 10.3.3 is a net loss due to the poor battery life.
