The other touch registration issue I have encountered is the *no touch* touch registration. This is the case where my finger is very close to the display, but not touching it, and before I can actually touch the display, the display registers as if I had touched the display.

That "no touch" thing has happened to me on my ipad for awhile, maybe over a year? I use it with Flipboard laying in bed keeping my finger close to the screen

No no touch for me yet. But soemtimes when I tap an app icon, instead of opening it, it will jump back a screen. 🤔

The upper corners of my 13 Pro Max are sometimes unresponsive. It has happened enough I know it is not me missing the mark.
Just came here to report this too. More specifically, the top left corner. For example, if I’m on FB and I go to “X” out of an article, which is in the top left corner, I’d have to hit it two or three times to register.

iPhone 13 Pro on 15.2

after some usage i think not. it was after the restart of the update that everything was so quick and i was cheated. i am curious for other iphone users is it fixed?
Apple has acknowledged to me that they are aware of the issue that multiple people have reported. Maybe by 15.4 the issue will be fixed.

I updated my iphone X to 15.2.1 and pinch to zoom still does not work consistently. I called the apple support. The man said

  • threads like this or macroumors or reddit are not relevant to apple
  • restore the iphone via dfu
  • if the problem then still occurs, it is a hardware problem, because this problem is not listed at apple.
  • he refused to register my problem and and did not report it to apple
in other words apple does not accept software problem reports from users.

I have had that happen for years. Mostly on my phone because I am either using a stylus, or Apple Pencil, or a keyboard with my iPP. I’ve always assumed it was due to the heat from my finger triggering a response from the phone screen. Fortunately most of the time my finger is hovering over an icon that I intended to tap on anyway. But it has frequently surprised me, especially when playing one of my games.
