I am just curious to see if mine is just enchanted or whether they are all still running well?

No, but I am still have an original lucite 20” Cinema Display that works like new. So that might give you an idea of their longevity ;-)

I was thinking about upgrading to the iMac 2020 from my MBP 2017 + 2010 Cinema but I can't really see the value of doing it while my setup still performs so well. But I really want the iMac 2020 ..

So why not both!? Go with iMac and connect your Cinema Display to it!

I have a peecee monitor next to the cinema display for gaming. two 27" monitors and the 24" pc monitor are going to take some serious space.

I am actively looking for a 27inch thunderbolt display in reasonable condition and not astronomical price, but they do seem to go quickly!

I have 3 of the 27" TB LED display and love them.
Best deal is on eBay - get one with a perfect panel that is missing the glass selling for cheap and then pick up a new glass from another seller for a real good deal.

Oh wow, I had not considered that - and based on what I see online its just a simple magnet that holds the glass in place! Time to scour prices, thank you!

Bought a 27” LED Cinema Display for $160. Works well, my dad uses it. I have several 30” Cinema Displays. Age hasn’t been so kind to those. They all have a yellow-ish tint. Someone took a panel apart and one of the layers of the lcd panel has gone from translucent white to yellow. I’m guessing the heat from those causes that over time. Still works well enough though.

Just sold my mini displayport LED monitor along with my 5,1 Mac Pro. It was still working fine, but I was getting the staining on one side.

Upon reading this thread, I'm wondering now if I should have kept it as a second monitor. Oh well.

Sold mine. Regret it big time :(

I have said that about every computer and monitor I have hever sold or donated. Never again. I keep everything until it dies and stack computer boxes dating back to the 80s in my garage.

Have 2, still working well

though more of a pain to hook up to newer MacBooks as the Mini DisplayPort isn’t supported;)

but use one for my personal MBP and one for my work machine

wish I could replace it with a new Apple monitor though

I'm currently using a 20" Apple Cinema Display and a 23" Apple Cinema HD Display. I think I was using them with my Dual G5 back in the day ...

And just delivered today is a BenQ SW27OOPT 27". My employer recently started reimbursing home office equipment, so I finally decided to upgrade. :)
