Some of us have child-sized hands and don't lift. I'm 6'0, 240lbs and I find the pro heavy. That’s funny! the pro heavy?? Haha i
Barely think max is.

And you can see the screen ok? never tried -Some of us have child-sized hands and don't lift. I'm 6'0, 240lbs and I find the pro heavy.

Obsessed we are!I am seriously obsessed with this 13 Mini in Midnight! This form factor feels like I'm unboxing the iPhone 5 all over again, except with massive improvements in every way. Definitely keeping this one for at least a couple years especially if the rumors of the Mini being cancelled are true.

I went from 2016 SE to the 13 Mini. Only been using it for a few days and getting used to the larger size. It isn't as easy to use one handed but I realize there are trade offs. The speed and larger screen are really nice in comparison though.
Thanks, I did find the reachability option in settings and that does help if one handed and need to get to something up top. Also shifted the keyboard to the right to make one handed typing easier. After 1 weeks use very happy with the 13 mini.@lupend88 Damn that Midnight is CLEAAAAN!
It’s not just the weight it’s the distribution or balance of the weight.
12/13 mini the weight balance/distribution from top to bottom is dead even. Not the case for the Pro or the Pro Max on both gens of these phones. This plays a significant role not just aluminum vs stainless steele (Apple is rumores to bring titanium to the 14 series lighter than steel yet stronger), yet also the weight on the higher end models is too heavy near the cameras. Holding the iPhone plans up means your wrists will goes a bit when viewing over sustained use.
Habit of design affects usage: small phones users tend to not consume visually intense or over pushed visual content as much as the larger screen phones.
Obsessed we are!
Remember you can use the Touch Bar to swipe down the top of the screen to select the top. Hold the mini with the knuckles of your fingers and the inner edge of the base of your thumb and it should allow more comfort and security as well as ability to have a wider arc for thumb based selections. Hope this makes sense.
I had the iPhone 8 for almost 2yrs then last fall went to the iPhone SE OG 32GB for 4mths longer than planned before getting the iPhone 12 mini and it was a joy since. I don’t miss the slippery rounded edges of the 7/8 nor the slow performance of the Se OG with that small storage.
I think there is a significant reason Apple included 512GB storage on the mini as well this year. Yet I see a missed opportunity of better battery life having promotion
Bought the 12 Mini on launch day and loved the form factor so much (which is surprising because I had only purchased Plus/Max models as soon as Apple started offering them). Then the hype of the 13 Pro got to me. I needed the ProMotion, better camera, and big battery.
Now, after using the 13 Pro for a few days, I just can't handle it. It's too heavy and feels like I'm dragging a brick around the house. Comfort, weight, and portability is far more important than a marginally improved camera setup and screen. I am returning my 13 Pro for a gorgeous 13 Mini in Midnight today.
Had the 12 mini from launch for 5 months, then went to a 12 Pro for 5 months. I didn't find the 12 Pro uncomfortable but I did miss the mini, not having to shuffle it around in my small hands as much to navigate around and how the mini almost disappears in your pocket.
Was temped by the 13 Pro cameras, but taking a step back seeing the 13 mini having the same main camera as the 12 Pro Max in the mini form factor.
I could get by with a 12 mini battery wise each day without being careful about usage, but with the 12 Pro I could really hammer it and be completely fine. So the extra capacity of the 13 mini should make a little step forward to that. The main thing I notice from Pro to mini, is 6 vs 4GB ram. On the Pro I could have Safari open with some tabs and never see a refresh when switching back, but with 4GB I do. Not really a big deal but it happens. Other than that, happy to be back with a mini!
All those phones have less than the 6GB on the Pro.I have less than 10 tabs open on the 12 mini, tested even with just 1 tab (after clearing cache and history), same with iPhone SE OG 32GB and iPhone 8 256GB - all varying RAM totals (along with different iOS versions 11-15) and on mobile network/WiFi (office or home) ... refresh occurs regardless.
Holy moly does that look slick! Looks like a phone James Bond would use!I am seriously obsessed with this 13 Mini in Midnight!
All those phones have less than the 6GB on the Pro.
I use Safari in private mode all the time, around 5 or so tabs open most of the time. App background refresh is disabled. I also always force close apps on exit, only leaving Safari open if there are tabs open. Network/WiFi had no effect.
Well it seemed to for me. I used the 12 mini, 12 Pro and 13 mini the exact same way, both mini's will refresh Safari tabs and apps I chose not to force close on switching back depending how many other apps I use in between. But with the 12 Pro I have never noticed it happen. The 6GB on the iPhone Pro won’t matter
They should just have a se pro, not miniLast year I had the 12 pro, returned it for a 12 mini. It was simply too heavy and large to comfortably use one handed for extended periods.
This year I ordered a 13 pro as I wanted better battery and camera, but it got lost in transit. Took this as a sign, and ordered a 13 mini.
The new mini has much better battery life and the main camera from the 12 pro max, which was superb!!
To me, the 13 mini is almost a 13 mini pro this year.
