I would be interested if Apple brought that back, but I highly doubt they will especially since the Air covers there most basic "casual" computing market. The sales pitch would be something like:

"Hey! Who wants a laptop that's not as powerful as the Pro and not as portable or great on battery life as the Air? Anyone??"

I wouldn't call the base Air a good computer for casual computing, a 1.3GHz (sure, there's turbo boost) i5 low voltage processor can't go that far, though. Probably will be obsolete in the next couple years. Now the 1.7GHz is more along the lines of something good for me, but I won't be buying an Air until they decide to let it have the 16GB RAM it really could use, so that it is even more future proof. But until that day, I'm gonna stay on my 2GHz Late '08. 8GB RAM really helps the thing.

For no useful reason whatsoever, I've been wanting a classic Black Macbook. I've even looked on eBay a few times, but can't bring myself to buy one since I have a 2013 Macbook Pro 13" (which is essentially the Macbook of today's standards).

But then, for whatever reason, I just want a black Macbook in my life! :apple: I would be interested if Apple brought that back, but I highly doubt they will especially since the Air covers there most basic "casual" computing market. The sales pitch would be something like:

The original MacBooks are one of my favorite computers. I actually gave away my 2012 MacBook Pro (because I switched to a desktop) but I missed the comfortability of the laptop. I was planning on getting a MacBook Air at first, but I didn't want to shuffle out $800 for last years refurbished model. I did some research and I decided that for my needs, a MacBook would suffice, and I actually got a great used one from PowerMax. It's a Black Macbook 2,1 and everything runs really well, but it's got terrible battery life. Anyway, I think it's one of the best looking Apple products ever made.

Here's where I got mine from: http://www.powermax.com/
