I know estimates for new macbooks were Q3 of this year, but I feel like a number of things are starting to happen:

1. M1X leaked benchmarks
2. iMac Pro now in limited supply/not configurable

Usually when these things happen hardware releases are a month away or so. Maybe we'll get lucky and have some out soon?

The iMac Pro story caught me by surprise. There's no need of an iMac Pro with the M1X chip around, especially if it's 3x or 4x and M1. It would be cool if true but I don't care to get my hopes up. Components are hard to come by so I'm not planning to do an AMD build and I have a difficult time buying the M1 products (daughter has one and it's great but my 2014 and 2015 MBP 15s run fine) when I know a bunch of new products are just around the corner.

iMacs should be out around WWDC.
MacBook Pros, sometime afterwards.

I'm still expecting the fall or later. Apple has a great opportunity while AMD chip supplies are a big problem, GPUs are a big problem and Apple could swoop in to provide some nice solutions during the great global computer parts shortage.

Leaked benchmarks? where can I found those? 🕵️‍♀️
On youtube and other websites, but pretty much as expected:

- Single threaded perf about same as current M1's
- Multi-threaded perf about double
- GPU perf expected to roughly double, which would put M1 graphics around 1660 ti mobile gaming gpu equivalent, maybe just a bit under 2060. Pretty impressive for a non-discrete gpu.

I hope the new GPU is at least on par with the current 16" offerings.
What I've been really wanting to know this whole time is what they have in store for the GPU.

You and me both.

For me on par with the 16” isnt good enough and needs to be close to a 3060. Not sure how though.
