The icon might not look as nice as Lion, but honestly I couldn't care less what the icon looks like as long as the OS works well.

I actually had a passing thought that the icon represents the diminished expectations I have for future Mac OS releases now that they're going to be in the style and schedule of iOS updates. It does appear somewhat anemic. So I'm OK with it.
