I've always had a black iPhone actually, but as I think about my personal "dream-combination", I think I'd really love an iPhone with the black front like a MacBook but the silver back. Kind of like the first iPhone as well.
I know it will most likely never happen, but it's worth a thought in my oppinion...

Buy a silver iPhone (preferably out-of-warranty) with a cracked screen. Go to a third-party repair shop and install a black screen. Problem solved :D

This is what I was going to recommend, except you don't need a cracked screen. That usually comes with other cosmetic damage anyway.

Space Gray is really silver. Perhaps a darker shade of silver, but lately it's been hard to tell the difference.

Be that as it may, can we adjust your post title? The 2003 Aluminum PowerBook G4s (a 2003 17" being the one I am typing this on) had the Silver look long before Apple ever dreamt up the MacBook line. So "Anyone else who would like a PowerBook-like iPhone 7" sounds better to me. :D

Read the thread title by itself and tell me what your honest first opinion would be before reading the content of the post...:D
I was thinking of a tapered design.

Sort of like this:

My impression of the title was something more like a windows phone type configuration. Except for it being an iPhone with OS X. That would be nice.

I realize with the apps available, it's a lot easier these days to move data and documents back and forth. But I remember the first time I used a windows phone that I was happy with how much it felt like a mini desktop instead of a phone with an awkward interface.

I went through the menu, picked ms-word and went to work typing.

That phone had both a touch screen keyboard and a flip out keypad / keyboard with buttons. I do miss being able to type using both hands when it's something long.

I'd love a black front with a gold back.
