For me the 4 inch screen is the perfect size and I think that apple will stuck with It for some time.

The i5 is my first iPhone, but my son has an iPod 4th gen and it just seems small.

I actually downsized when I got this i5. I went from having a 4.3 inch Droid X for almost 3 years and that took some time to get used to.

I would say NO on a 3.5 inch screen for a phone.

However, I would definitley be interested in a larger, lets say 4.5 to 4.8 inch screen. I have a couple of friends who have the SGIII and I must say, the size of the screen really catches my eyes every time I see them. Pictures and video look nice on that size. The Note 2 is too big for me for a phone. It would seem to be cumbersome when putting in your pocket, etc.

When my i5 contract is up in 2014 I hope they do at least offer a larger screen. If they can keep everything else that I love about my i5 and maybe even add to iOS7 then I see no reason why I wouldn't get a 4.5 or 4.8 inch screen.

I think the 4 inch screen was a step in the right direction. But sorta agree with, either go big, or don't go big at all. Have one version of the phone that is 3.5, and have another that is 4.7, not any of this little step by step making the phone taller but not wider stuff.

I would never go back to a 3.5" screen after using the 4". I hope the screen gets even bigger next time.

I was really hoping for a 3.2 inch screen, that is the real sweet spot. In fact on second thought you can do anything with 3 inches you can with 3.2.

it should be small enough to sit in your palm and you can text but people cant really see the phone, a "palm phone" excuse the pun, not from "palm" but in your palm, 2.8 inches, oh ok maybe even 2.5 inch 320 X 460 screen wow, that would be heaven.

I think 3 could work with newer more accurate detection tech to deal with smaller tap targets.
If they did a 3inch Pre-paid cheap world 3G iPhone then my next upgrade would probably be that and buy a 4G iPad mini.

Wife iphone 5 is like a big tv remote ! Lol if you need something that big use a iPad! I stick with oringinal style than the wannabe tablet 5 size

I went from a Galaxy Nexus 4.65" to the iPhone 5 and needed a little while to get used to the smaller screen. I love it now, but will probably upgrade when the screen gets substantially bigger.

Are you serious? The iPhone 5 isn't even big. It's tiny compared to other phones released years ago. And comparing an iPhone 5 screen to an iPad screen is nonsense lol the iPhone 5 screen is tiny. Maybe it's big for people who have used nothing but iOS since its release. But if you have used another OS, say android, their screens are typically over 4.3 inches so a 4 inch screen seems small. In my opinion at least

I liked the 3.5" screen better than the 4". Maybe I just have small hands, but I have trouble using the iPhone 5 one handed.

I find the larger screen far more easy to look at. Would not mind seeing what they do with the next iteration which is rumoured to be even larger..

At first I thought it was weird having a taller screen, not wider as well. I can say now though after using the iPod touch 5 for over 4 months, that I love the bigger screen.

I don't know why, but I think the iPhone 5 screen feels much bigger then the 4s. I know its only .5", but seriously it seems like the perfect screen size to me.

3.5 was to small (hard on the eyes) 4.0" is nice. Just a little bigger (not 5 inches) would be great.

To me, the 4 inch screen is great. I picked up an iPhone 4S a couple of days ago and my initial reaction was "I don't think I could go back to this smaller screen, it reminds of just how much I like the larger screen". Although, I wouldn't mind seeing, maybe a 4.3 inch screen.
