So I have owned all non S model iPhones since the 4. 4,5,6,7 and now I’m on the XS. always upgraded every two years which kept Me on the non s years until this upgrade which is still in my 2 year cycle. Just wondering if anyone else is in my boat?

I’m going to at least a 3 year cycle now that I am back to a normal sized phone, 4 years would be ideal.

Just tired of chasing tech, my life was fine without it.

It’s my second. I always used to swear off S models but then I got the 6S plus.

I liked the fact I was on non s years since they were the latest overall design and s was just an internal upgrade for the most part(with a new redesign coming in a year) but it’s just how it worked out this time around that now I’m on an S.

First S model here. Upgraded from my X. I couldn’t resist this screen size. Unless they come out with a 7” next year or somehow the screen technology leaps forward destroying my xs max, I won’t be upgrading for a while.

The XS is my first "s" model, I've never actually thought about that.
My first iPhone was the 3G, then it went 4,5,6,8, and now XS.

This is my first "S" cycle too because I wanted the Max. I did skip the 7 though, because that was basically a 6SS, and we all knew the X was coming the next year. So I bet that messed up some people who were upgrading every two years. I might upgrade again next year to get back on the non-S cycle.

On a side note, all S model for this guy (5s, 6s, Xs). Hoping this phone will last me 4 years since I got 3 from my 6s.
