Anyone else's Wifi Sync working without power source?

I haven't had to plug in either. I can't help but think a few journalists misread or misinterpreted something and that's why all the tech blogs keep saying you have to be plugged in to power.

on the Wi-Fi Sync page it says

"Automatically sync with iTunes on your computer when your iPhone is plugged in to power and connected to Wi-Fi"

The key word is "Automatically". If you leave the settings at defaults, your phone will initiate an automatic WiFi sync when it's plugged in to power.

You may initiate a manual WiFi sync at any time, no external power required.

ah okay! thanks a lot. automatic sync is kind of useless for me as i leave my computer turned off at night.

Yea, works without a power source for me.
To try this out, I converted a movie to iPhone 4 retina display resolution, then let my iPod Touch 4 download the movie over the air from iTunes. After 10 to 15 min, it was there on my iPod! iStat shows that 1.29GB has been sent on network utility.
