Anyone ever buy anything from Frys?

I love FRY's... have ordered tons from them, and their stores are GREAT.. I always try to make a stop in when I'm in a city that has one.. (the closest to me unfortunately is a 4 hour drive, Indy, or Chicago)...

I wouldn't think twice about ordering/shopping there.. they ship quickly also.

Fry's is the bomb - When I lived in the East Coast, I always wanted to live close to a Fry's - now I'm an hour away!! :)

IIRC, aren't most of the Fry stores located in buildings ran by Radio Shack/Incredible Universe at one time?

Shipping is great and the store near me is really good - till you get to checkout and they try to sell you a warranty on everything. I've went there enough times that they don't even ask anymore. :)

+1 thumbs-up from me.

Fry's is OK if you know what you want and if they happen to have it at a reasonable price. But YOU have to do the homework. They sometimes don't have good prices and many times are out of stock. Their return policy is very good, it's 30 days no matter what and they have even taken back stuff I had for months in an un-opened box.

But do NOT expect to ask a question more complex then "where can I find XXX?" If you ask a technical question at best they can read the back of the box out loud but mostly they just make stuff up. The staff is trained only in shelf stocking.

Their return policy is so good that I've known people to buy a half dozen video cards and try them all out over 30 days and return the ones they don't like, keeping one. Of cource this means half the stuff on their selves has been returned and repackaged. These returns are now stickered. Never buy them because just maybe a item was returned because it was defective. They never check

Too bad I can't help you when it comes to their online service.
I know their in store service is great! Very friendly. Ive got a Fry's about 5 miles or so from me.

If I recall correctly, its 30 days with a receipt. They are big on you having a receipt. Not sure if its the same online.

Both of you are Wrong on the return policy especially on Computers from Fry's..... Its 15 days return policy with your receipt only and the 15 day is on anything that contains a hard drive e.g. Laptops/desktops/zunes/iPods etc ... No receipt = only exchanges on the same item......

I was Computer Sales man @ Frys 'bout 2 yrs ago ..... Yes its 90% of the people that work on the floor are trained as shelf stockers only nothing else.... I was Jack of All items towards the end of my job there....  :p
