Fill your medicine cabinet with marbles. Have a party with only friends as guests, or, include friends of friends of friends. In either case, what are the chances you'll hear the tell-tale sound?

It's not paranoia to expect curiosity, or worse, with your personal data. Your data is more sacred than your fungus ointment.

The login password is the lock. My point was it's not a good move to provide someone your login password, especially a retail employee.

And no need to be so unnecessarily condescending. You're the reason people can't have civil conversations on MacRumors.

I didn't know you were so overly sensitive, but I just hope you get my point.

My stance remains; without some effort, nothing will happen. I don't mind giving my login password to a retail employee. I have nothing to hide and there is no sensitive data on there.
Important information such as password/credit card info, I would never ever give to a service for me to remember. I try to remember it myself and sensitive data like wedding videos from our clients we always store on a NAS with encrypted HDD's.

You don't need to get one yourself but if you can afford a Mac I am pretty sure you can afford an external drive for your sensitive data as well. And Password protect an external drive is so easy, it's not even funny: http://osxdaily.com/2012/01/25/password-protect-external-drive-mac-encrypted-partition/

My stance might not answer the questions of the OP, but pardon me for thinking out of the box.
Don't overcomplicate your lives by being so paranoid. It's not healthy for you.
