Got my base Midnight this morning and it’s an amazing piece of kit. Love the design and especially the weight.

It sure is a fingerprint magnet though, it’s even worse than I thought it would be. But it doesn’t really concern me that much.

Not bad for £939
Wow, great price. Can I ask where you bought it from?

Managed to get it from Very, they offer 20% off if you sign up for Very Pay and use the credit to purchase.

However, I think it’s for new customers/account holders only.

You can even get the 512 model for £1170 or the 14” M1 for £1375.

Sounds great. I've been hesitating on buying the M2 Air for months as I'm not in a great hurry to buy and have been unsure of what specs to get. But that's a great price. Thanks for the reply.

Congratulations, and may you enjoy your new laptop for many years.

These types of threads remind me of my years on various leather jacket forums, where people would spend hours on their hand-made leather jackets, such as the Indy jacket or other types; stitching, tanning process, leather weight, usefulness of a corderoy trim, metal type of the zipper and/or buttons - the word fanatic does not even begin to approach them LOL - and they sweated over these crazy details no one on the street seeing them in the jacket would ever notice.

These are laptops meant to be used as computers on the go, to serve a purpose for a 3-10 year period until they need to be replaced. Life is way too short to worry about something silly like fingerprints which can be wiped off if they are too troublesome.

Just buy the one with the color you like best, and enjoy it. These are first-world problems that in the broader scope of people in UKR and iran being shot just for standing on a street, seem rather...small.

Bought a base MacBook Air base, space grey, amazon prime day, 1049.00 Very happy with it. Mainly email, web, office work. Only video encode with handbrake works fine. Also I still burn CD's for my home player so I use burn for Mac, db power amp now apple silicon native. My old dell portable CD/DVD burner works fine with it, order a small cable that fits those weird usb to usb c that some of these burners have. Battery life is amazing on it, my Dell XPS 13 9305 I bought last year gets about maybe 4 hours with brightness to about 60 percent. These old 62 year old eyes love the fact that I can get about 10 plus hours out of it.

I got the Midnight one last week – fantastic device so far. The design and this color are just stunningly beautiful. I‘m using it for home computing needs, photos importing & editing in Lightroom, graphic design, very occasionally an animation export when away from the office and a client very desperately needs something, and on the go while traveling, commuting, and in cafes.

I’m switching from the iPad Pro, which I have been using for years now as my at-home laptop. First the 2018 11“ then the M1 12.9“, both with a Magic Keyboard. I loved the focus it provides, the simplicity, and the polished apps for basically everything. But I have grown more and more frustrated with file management, with multitasking, and most recently the direction iOS16 took.

So I decided to sell the iPad Pro (got 900$ for it, 280$ for keyboard, 50$ for folio cover, 50$ for pen) and go for the M2 MBA (8c, 16gb, 1tb). Yay!

Mate, thanks for the heads up. I owe you one. Signed up for very pay and used the code for 20% off. Once I get the laptop, will close very pay.

I was about to buy an ipad but decided I would rather have a laptop, light office work and consumption-online shopping-bill paying from my easy chair . I have a gaming desktop pc for heavy lifting but dont always want to be in my home office so ordered the m2 air in midnight color
