Anyone find a real need for the new "subject" bar?

I haven't used it, but I understand how it works. It just seems to me like there is no real reason for it to be there other than to title a photo to someone. Just wanted to get other people's opinions.

I enabled it for a minute, then realized it took up too much precious real estate, switched it off!

When I tried it weeks ago they would never send with a subject field.

Edit: I would guess it's only for sending to email addresses.

If someone can suggest a good reason to use it, I might be persuaded to actually use it. However, until then, I see no reason to bother setting it.

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

I must be blind but what subject field is this?

The subject field is there because you can also send MMS to emails.

Don't other phones have it too when you send an MMS? I remember seeing it before...

Twitpic. If you send a pic to twitpic and dont use the subject line, the text wont show.

We have iPhones. We use robust Twitter clients with image uploading built-in.

The subject thing is there because it's been a feature of MMS right from the beginning. I don't even have a use for subjects on e-mails though :p
