I've been waiting about 8 months to get a new Mac. I have all the money waiting and didn't want to waste it on the old model. Plus I will get an extremely good deal on the new one.

OMG! 12 more hours!

Friends of Family or Apple Employees get good deals... there's a range of staff discounts for use by staff for themselves, family AND customers (if they see fit).

Luckily, the cost of mine will be foot by the company I work for. I'll buy it off them if I ever plan to leave 😉

I would take a guess and say that you are a student. Join the club. I will do one better: I'm using the student discount AND using my $800+ Discover card cash back rewards. 😉

I am as well! I've been waiting for about 3 years for this bloody Skylake update! A little less than 2 hours to go!
 
My early 2015 rMBP is doing just fine and since re-sale values are so low lately, I won't be upgrading.

So no, not freaking out at all.
 
The new stuff doesn't excite me all that much. What really gets my blood flowing is shelling out huge bucks for this crap.
Makes me kinda dizzy 😀

But I like doing it because it motivates me to sell my older stuff. This has to happen, and is the Order of Things 😀

I'm both excited & worried. I'm pretty much guaranteed to place an order this evening unless it's just a single, botched hardware refresh.
