Anyone from the East Coast doing a midnite pre-order?

Since I'm on the west coast I'll stay up till 9pm pst. And check back here to see if you are able to pre-order at 12:01am est. Please post and let us west coast people know. If it turns out you can I'll set my alarm for 12:01am pst. And order mine.

If it comes up at midnight, though, it will be all over Macrumors and the boards. Don't worry.
 
thats not how it works. it happens at the same time weather it be 3am e while it is 12am p they get the option at the same time.

How could they control the online pre-orders by geographical location.

I'll be ordering sometime tomorrow whenever I get around to it. It doesn't really matter. If Apple sells out of preorders within 1 day then this release will be a huge failure. They aren't dumb. Preorders will last a few days at the very minimum.

Sorry, but I don't think it will be midnight EDT. That means for 2/3 of the U.S., the preorder day is June 14, and not the claimed June 15. I guess we'll see soon.

I dont think there will be a midnight launch.. It's always in the morning but hey I'd be happy if there was one. Guess I'll check haha
 
Remedial time zone classes will begin at 10 pm Eastern. What time is that Pacific?:D

For extra credit, How many time zones are the in the world?
 
Instead of playing the guessing game, how were preorders done for the ipad? Or the 3gs? I didnt get a 3gs so i actually have no idea if they were even available for preorder.
 
Preorders are always sometime between 9AM - 10AM EST...Don't expect a midnight preorder lol
 
I will be staying up till midnight because i have to study for a test anyway but im not expecting much.

Since ordering any time in the first few days guarantees receiving the iPhone on launch day, you have to ask yourself why all this obsession about when orders will begin. The only reason people are asking about this is so they can come back here and make the meaningless boast, they were the first to order.

I doubt they'll even allow preorders until early tomo. I just have this weird feeling. Apple is mean like that. They also won't send those who preordered, the product ahead of the launch date, which makes no sense. That's the whole idea of preordering. To get it early. I shouldn't have to wait until next week to get it if i preorder. But Apple is messed up that way. Steve got his and that is all he cares about.
 
I don't understand why people are rushing to preorder. It doesn't matter if you were to preorder 2 days from now, you're still getting it on the 24th.

I will be on until 3:15 AM EST and that is it lol
If I can't do it online then I am going to Apple tomorrow anyways to get my 3GS replaced...So my wife gets a new 3GS and I get the new iPhone 4. :apple:
