I am using 256GB variant of iphone 7 plus.

Back then, it was the best option that money could buy.

Now I have about 40~50GB left, so I was once tempted to buy an Xs max or Xr 512GB version.

Not considering the skyrocketing prices of Xs max up to 1.5 Grand, is there anyone who is utilizing their 512GB storage? If yes, what is your main use? If not, is it just for premium satisfaction?

I have 180GB so far used.I could probably have just bought the 256GB model like I did with the 7+ and 8+ but I figured why not get the 512GB and not have to worry about anything I put on the phone. I download a lot of pictures and videos from Instagram every day.

i have a different approach. My ideal combo is. 12.9 iPad Pro 1TB. Along with a mid size, say iPhone 8 or small size (iPhone se) phone.

If you are showing images or videos to others, that iPad is ideal. So, the iPad is the mother ship, and the phone is an imaging device peripheral to the iPad. The new Pro 12.9 is much easier to bring around with the smaller bezels.

To me, spend top dollar on the device that is most useful. The iPad Pro 12.9 is great for music production, video and photo editing, drawing, designing, writing etc. Then do not spend top dollar on the phone.

I am not yet in this position. I hope to order the new iPad in the next three months. Using iPad mini 4 right now with LTE, and no phone at all. May go with three devices. Mini 4 for general use. iPad Pro for productivity and storage, and iPhone se for mountain biking and running.
