I use a 64 now and with no music and minimal apps I have about 30gb remaining(i basically have every photo I have taken since the first iPhone on my phone), I was all set to order another 64 until I read a thread here about 4k and live photo's being very big files. As a moderate photo/video user I'm thinking about just going with the 128 to play it safe. Anyone else in the same boat? Even though I upgrade every year I don't want to short change myself

Yeah I'm doing the same thing. I plan on using this phone to replace my current point and shoot for filming YouTube videos, so if I am going to do that I want/need the extra room. I currently have the 64GB 6 Plus and only have 25GB left IIRC.

ordering a 128 through verizons new pay every month plan should be smooth tonight since it will probably be close to 50$ a month added to the bill and thats a big nut for a lot of people

It's actually just under $40, minus the $25 per line, so it's really only an additional $15 a month per phone. Not bad really, just need to get AppleCare as well.

It's $15 per line for your plan line, but you have to add the monthly payment for the phone to that

I am confused. I am paying for the additional iCloud services. So wouldn't my pics and videos be saved to the cloud instead if I have iCloud photo library enabled?

I have the 128, I actually wanted the 64, but they had it sold out, now I'm happy, my iTunes takes up a lot of space, like 50 GBs, I've accumulated a lot of apps, but also I got vids, still got around 10 GBs of free space, I could clean maybe 15 GBs if need be, but is good to just not care, maybe I'll have to do some house cleaning soon though, even with 128.

$15 per line on the smaller plans (I believe under 8GB) but $25 on the bigger plans (8GB+) which I have. Basically the way I'm looking at it is I'm gonna pay the same for service, so the discount would be applied, in my mind, to the phone payment. So:

+$40 - phone payment
-$25 - discount
=$15 additional per month.

EDIT: It's actually 6GB+ plans. From Verizon's site:

That does not apply to the new plans they have, I believe those get a flat $20 off of the line access, whereas More Everything Plans get $25 off 6GB+ and $15 off 4GB and under plans.

Your total will be $55 for that line. They do not deduct it from the phone payment. The discount is for your line service

I know, I'm counting it as (Line Access+Phone Payments) $40+$15 instead of $15+$40. Basically, I'll only be paying an additional $15 a month because with my math the savings is applied to the phone payment. I know that's not actually the case, but it makes it easier to calculate my next bill.

Went 128GB last year after needing it for so long. My music library alone has been over 64gb for years. As crazy as it may seem, I hope 256GB isn't too far off.

You don't get an additional discount if you are already getting the discount that makes your line $15. They will just add the $40 phone payment to your $15 line and the total will be $55. I don't know how else to explain it to you. Just trying to help you understand. But, this thread is about GB size and not payment plans anyway, so good luck with that ;)

My 6+ is 16gb. I regret not getting a 64gb. I'll be going that route this time, but might go 128gb depending on how things go tonight.

I always get the highest capacity iPhones no matter what. I put movies in mine and take lots of photos. I also import my DSLR photos to the phone. So always the 128gig for me

I got my 6 128GB through ATT with Next. After doing the maths, it was a relative pittance to just get the 128 GB. If I am going to get 0% financing over that many months as well as a line discount, then it makes no sense, ->to me<- to do anything less. I am not using all that space right now, but more than 64 GB. I also no longer have to worry about futzing around with Cloud storage or juggling apps or whatever. Not the best solution for everyone. But if the situation is right and it helps...go big or go home ;-)

Yup. Always did 32 until they got rid of it. So I did 64. I used about 30 gig of that space. With 4k video and live photos, yup - 128 for sure!

128gb Silver 6S Plus and 1TB of iCloud storage. I do lots of photos and videos.

I'm going to iPhone 6s+ 128gb from iPhone 6+ 64gb so I can go back to having iCloud photos keep full-resolution photos on the iPhone. I've had several occasions where I was out of cell/wi-fi range and couldn't view an older pic because it was still in low-res preview mode. Frustrating as heck.

Does the 64 or 128gb maintain a higher resale value percentage?
I would actually guess that the 16GB has the best resale percentage. Your only easy way to compare is to go to the Gazelle or similar web site and see what they are offering for the different models. My hunch would be that the 128 has the worst resale percentage. Comparatively, I'd say that there are just not that many people want that much space, so you will take a hit. If you decide to sell on your own, then there are just too many variables to posit a real answer. Your phone will be worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Your efforts to shop for the best buyer and willingness to wait it out for your price will dictate that the actual percentages are. Right now, the market _may_ be getting flooded with used phones. So it may be a buyer's market right now. And that will work against sellers too.
