Anyone gone from 6+ to regular 7?

I've got a 6+ which I bought on launch day a couple of years ago. Still like the phone, does the job but I'm tempted by a smaller screen this time around. Has anyone gone from the 6+ to the regular 7?

Really interested to read your thoughts on how you've found the change . I'm sitting on the fence on whether to upgrade my phone but my local store does have the 128Gb in stock in matte black.

I am pretty sure I am going to the 7 or 8 and not the plus version. My lease runs up in March and will decide to wait or not then. My friends and family with the exception of my brother all have the 6 or 6s and I find using their phone better IMHO. Fits in the hand better and those bezels on the 6 plus huge enough to be annoying unlike the Android counterparts

Agreed. I have an S7 Edge from work and the phone size is perfect for what is the same size screen as the 6 plus. I think that phone is one of the reasons I'm sitting on the fence and thinking about downsizing.

Me. I also exchanged my 7+ for a 7. It feels too small for a few hours, after that it feels perfect. I'm much happier.

Had the 6+ and the 6S+. Thrilled to be back on the smaller size this time around! While the bigger screen on the plus is nice, it's still nowhere near the size of an iPad and the physical size of the phone is annoying in day to day use. The regular sized phone feels much more natural. I will admit, I probably would have stayed on the plus size this time around if Apple hadn't added OIS and better battery life on the smaller size. I am a bit jealous of the dual camera on the 7+, but it's not enough to make me put up with the bigger phone for another year.

I am looking forward to seeing what Apple does with next year's phone(s). If they finally shrink the bezels on the plus, I'll probably go back to the bigger size.

I had the 6s Plus and now have the iPhone 7. The size is more manageable for daily carry for me. And most importantly, it does everything I need it to as my 6s Plus did.

I also have an iPhone 7 Plus arriving as a work/media phone.

Exactly what Renlentless Power said. Kept my 6s+ for an extra phone, need a bigger screen with data service or in case one of my kids needs it.

Same here. Even if I have big hands/long fingers, I still can't text properly with one hand.
I just hope next time the non Plus models gets a fair treatment. That dual lens camera is sweet though.

I've decided to go for the 7. I'm still deciding on colour. I can get the matte black as it's readily available in the Apple stores where I live, but might hold out for the Jet Black instead. CarphoneWarehouse do have Jet Black in stock for next day delivery to me, but I've always thought of them as cowboys so will likely hold out for Apple to get them in stock (I know, I might be waiting for a while!).

I just switched today as my 6s died on me and they had to ship it to the apple hq to replace it, so I ended up buying a matt black iPhone 7. The phone looks really nice but is totally overrated. iOS10 works just as well as on the 6s. The stereo speakers are more of a gimmick, so your ringtone sounds a little bit better. The camera improvement is barely noticeable. I know it all sounds negative, but the only positive thing I can say is that it feels much better in your hand and more expensive somehow. It feels more solid and lets say 'exclusive'. Matt black really nails the color for this phone.

Unless you MUST upgrade, I would wait or go at least for a 7+ so you have some more features like the dual camera if you're big into pictures.

6+ 6s 7(JB)
I always use my smartphone, iPhone or not, case-less. The 6+ and 6s+ don't feel secure enough with day to day one hand use all the time. If the keyboard can go smaller and line up to the right edge like Samsung then it's better.

Went to the 6s for that. Perfect for my hand.

Need to () JB as the finish makes it to be the nicest phone to grip. Having used the JB 7 for a week, I may get the 7 plus later this year as I really like the portrait mode and larger display. If I only have experienced the matte black, this idea to upsize mid-year would not have come up.

I went from a 6+ to a Samsung S7 (bad choice), and back to a 5s before getting a 7 so I went across the entire 5.5 to 4 inch spectrum.

I found the plus too big due to the size of the bezels, and the S7 was about the right size despite hating the phone. The 7 is about the same size as the s7 and its a really good size compromise for portability. I haven't really noticed a decrease in battery life from my s7, and only a slight one from the 6 plus.

I would say go for it. I found the size is best for my hands, and I probably wouldn't go back to a plus unless Apple shrink the bezels down.

The 7 is barely a half inch taller and 3/10 of an inch wider than the SE. It's hardly an iPad.
