Other Anyone got Best Buy preorder updates?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone who preordered through Best Buy on preorder day has seen an update for their launch day pick up.

I’m suspecting that if I don’t see an update by tomorrow that it isn’t going to be there on Friday for pickup. Anyone seen updates on theirs?

This has been the first time in about 4 years since i have not gone with Best Buy. Just stop worrying, it's going to get updated sometime late Thursday night very early Friday.

I remember pre-ordering my Apple watch through Best Buy and the day I was supposed to get it for pick up they told me it was out of stock and wouldn't get it for a month. I'll never use them again, but not everyone has had the crummy experience I have had!

If I don't get it, not deal breaker for me, my XS model still working fine. I only went with Best Buy because have a gift card that covers most of the cost of the new iPhone. Otherwise I normally buy direct from Apple.

My guess would be any status update would occur overnight as they prepare for Friday.

*shrug* I won't be in town to go to BB until Sunday anyway and if they complete screw it all up I'll wait. Only went with BB due to immediate payouts/discounts and could easily wait for a black friday promo.

I was expecting maybe a particular time or confirmation that it had arrived. Got kind of worried after I heard on these forums and reddit about how bad Best Buy has been with launch day pre-orders.

Bump. It’s the 23rd now and no update. Just gonna assume that my preorder got pwned and I’ll likely have to wait.

Per my prior post - I wouldn't expect BB to be updating anything until sometime tonight.

I also wouldn't expect anything more than a "your order is ready for pickup" and a big long line to go wait in if you feel the need to go on Friday vs waiting a day or two.

I wouldn't assume that...I'm guessing this status won't change till later tonight or tomorrow morning as the stores start to get their inventory in.

I haven't looked. I don't expect to have a chance to pick up the phone until sometime on Sunday.

I'd expect the mobile area since they'll need to get into your T-Mobile or AT&T accounts to activate the phones and check/receive the trade in devices. Store pickup area employees likely aren't trained/equipped to do this.

I didn’t even preorder until Tuesday afternoon, and it still told me it will be ready to be picked up on Friday. Honestly I’ll be shocked if it is.
