I have gotten used to the size of it but my wrist recently began hurting bad, to the point that I've had to switch hands temporarily on a regular basis. It started as an all around the wrist pain but now it's the inside of my wrist where carpal tunnel pain is felt.

Nope, perhaps you're holding it too tight or the dimensions and your hand size are working against each other.

If you're incurring pain such as you describe, then sell the phone and find one that doesn't hurt

Sucks, I love the 6. If I end up having to I hope the 6S mini will be slightly bigger than the 5.

I don't think there will be a mini next year. Maybe when the 7 is released the year after.

That said, I never had any problems using the 6, but the 6 plus has made my wrist achy if I don't hold it supported for longer periods of use.

For about 2 days after I got my 6 from my 5s I experienced pain in my wrist. But after a week I was completely used to it. Just different muscle strain than before so it takes time for your muscles to readjust.

I doubt it has anything to do with the phone itself, but rather the angle that your wrist is at while holding the phone. These devices weigh practically nothing; a roll of quarters weighs more than the phone.

I've had carpal tunnel since my first pregnancy.. 25 years ago.. Yikes.. I'm old.. Lol I have the 6+ and can't say it's been a problem at all for me. I use to 1 handed a lot as well. I'm hands are medium size as well.

Yes but this paticular user finds the Lightning cable extremely heavy.

i chalked it up to coincidence, but i had carpal tunnel flare up within a few weeks of getting the 6.

yes i have smaller hands, and no i don't want to settle for older tech. the phone actually got easier to hold once i got a case for it. looks much nicer bare, but the shape/size is an ergonomic nightmare for me. :(

YES! I had no problems with my iPhone 5. I switched to the 6 plus and I now have the worst wrist pain under my left thumb (that's the had I use to hold it). I can make a fist but cannot spread my fingers wide due to the pain I'm now wearing my wrist guard every night and most of the day. It's actually getting to the point where I'm going to see a hand specialist. It's starting to interfere with everyday life. Crazy, I know. I started holding it differently but the pain is there no matter how I hold the dang thing. Might be time to switch back to a smaller phone.

This is an old post but since someone revived it, I've had pain since I got my 7+. Had no problems with my 6s. My left wrist aches sometimes and I revert to using my 6s for a little while.

When I had a 6s+ I found myself holding the phone in my hand rather than shoving it in a pocket; it was just too big to sit comfortably anywhere. It seemed fragile and very droppable. The iPhone SE now spends most of it's life in a pocket or in a briefcase where it belongs. My hands are too important and useful to be tied up with any device longer than needed.
