Anyone gotten the Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD7500BPVT???

Can anyone confirm or deny that there are no longer EFI Firmware issues with this drive? I want to get it to put in my 2010 13" MBP but I don't want lag and beachballs! Is it functioning correctly at 3.0gbps?

1) I wasn't aware any mechanical (non-SSD) had issues with EFI updates?
2) This drive can barely utilize half the bandwidth of Sata 1.5Gbs ... you don't need 3.0Gbs.

Trying to decide between this HD and the Hitachi 7K500 7200rpm 500gb HDD. Does anyone know of any comparisons between the two or possibly benchmarks? I could have sworn I saw one, but can't seem to find it again.

If the WD 750gb HDD isn't that much slower than the Hitachi 7K500, then I may just go with the WD since it has more space.
