It won't run on anything but a simulator, just like how 2.0 beta wouldn't run on 1.0.Have any of you guys who are developers have gotten 3.0 up and running on an iPhone yet?!

if true, thats a shame.
I am sure some dev guru will be able to run it on an actual iphone and release it as a torrent![]()
That's true on the very few, and these guys won't leakNo, they do release some 3.0 beta IPSWs but very few and they often have limitations.
And isn't the SDK only for those who pay for the developer program right now? Huge disappointment.
iPhone Developer Program
The iPhone Developer Program offers a complete process for developing and distributing iPhone or iPod touch applications.
When you join the iPhone Developer Program, you also receive access to iPhone SDK 3.0 and iPhone OS 3.0 beta.
That's in reference to 2.0, unless they decide to release beta firmware to all approved developers.http://developer.apple.com/iphone/program/sdk.html
I read this page and it says at one point that you can test directly on your phone. Does that not mean you can install the 3.0 beta on a phone?

so this would just be paid developers? not free sdk users?
Yeah it has to be registered to your developer account. DRMYeah, it definitely seems like we'll be able to actually have the beta running on our phones. Notice how they say they'll be making both the SDK and the OS available. For any developers who have run iPhone OS betas before, is there any reason I can't run the 3.0 beta on my iPhone which I use as my primary phone?

you know the beta is going to hit the torrents very soon..
its inevitable..
in fact, i'll search tonight =]
So right there under a big "Get Ready for 3.0" and it is talking about being able to test your 2.0 apps on the phone? I know next to nothing about the development side of things so I dont doubt that I am completely wrong, but that seems a little weird. The way its worded leads me to believe they are talking about testing new apps taking advantage of the new features directly on the phone...
Yeah because having any Apple software released on a torrent in recent times didn't cause some issue.![]()
In talking to a dev I know, they release a firmware update for them to use and test with. He is planning on downloading it tonight and testing his apps with it.
