Surprisingly enough, local stock appeared and I should have it in hand within the next couple of hours. The tracking website I used never showed updates. I just had the phone I wanted in my cart and kept refreshing on mobile and desktop, for anyone in the same boat.

Some stock showed up for me at my local Apple Store today. If you buy it, I wouldn’t recommend 2 hour delivery as they use Post Mates. I haven’t personally had any issues with that, but I’ve seen people have their items never show up.

Pick up in person if you can.

It showed up just fine (Uber) and it didn't have any rough edges around the frame, which my launch day version did.

Today also some Pro 256 White showed up at three nearby stores at different times. Perhaps at least for 20-30+ min, long enough.

Nope. Apparently, Apple never sent new inventories to Japan... I do see one inventory per day at random times, but it gets sold out in a second!

Just 2 data points for Los Angeles but I ordered and picked up a Pro Max NT 512gb in the Los Angeles area when I randomly went to order around 11am. The inventory list from earlier showed a few blue 1TB’s at various stores and one WT in 512gb around 1pm along with my NT. Picked up around 1pm at the store no issues. Not a lot of inventory but around LA they seem to pop in and out daily and you can definitely get something. Couldn’t buy a few days ago since I didn’t have my backup ready but it was about the same type of inventory situation then.

The iPhone 15 pro max Blue Titanium 1 tb did show up at the Apple store near me, at least 6 in qty. I was able to get one. Originally had the 512 gb but I needed more space. I did noticed that they also had received iphone 15 pro max natural titanium 512 gb but I had no interest in that color (I hate it), but noticed it was gone in minutes after stock had been replenished).
