I restarted my MBP this evening and now getting "Wi-Fi No Hardware Installed"

Any suggestions on what this could be?

Edit: I plugged my previous wifi card in and booted, ....still no hardware found.

- Probably doesn't have anything to do with hardware.

Was there anything in particular you did leading up to the message other than just restarting? I got the same message a few days ago after playing around with Carbon Copy Cloner and booting into both systems. That seemed to get OS X confused about the Wi-Fi drivers.
I've never had the problem occur "unprovoked", though.

Most likely, something has caused OS X to refuse to load the modified Wi-Fi kexts. If I'm right, you can simply restore the original ones that were backed up by the Continuity Activation Tool.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

It's most certainly not the hardware, as I started in recovery mode and could connect with the wifi.

Edit: Uninstalled CAT and still have "no hardware detected".

Edit 2: In Network, I removed the wifi and added it again and all worked - reinstalled CAT, and everything is working again, including Hand Off.

If it happens again, at least I know not to remove the hardware.

I have a late 2011 15" and it'a working fine so far, the only issue I had was the battery got a service notification last year and I replaced it. I also replaced the HDD with a Samsung SSD and put in 16GB Crucial RAM. If it dies within the new extended window, I'll get it fixed, otherwise I'll use it until it croaks. It's still a fast machine with a SSD and 16GB of ram. I'd say my use is about 50/50 standalone/hooked up to a 24" LCD. Light gaming (Indie games, WoW, D3), no other heavy GPU work
