I'm looking for a solution, to connect windows boxes via remote desktop with network level authentication enabled. I can't find any working solution.

Self compiled FreeRDP ( https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP ) also not working. Maybe it's a problem with openssl, or something with endianess, or anything else.

I use UltraVNC on our work PC/Servers. RDP sucks.

Chicken of the VNC for Mac client, OSXVNC for Mac host.

Both UltraVNC and OSXVNC can install as services.

There's a version of Microsoft Remote Desktop 2 that is a universal app. It's an early version of 2, but it may work for you. The later versions of MS RDP 2 are Intell only.
