Anyone have any First Premier credit card experience?

I'm having a hell of a time dealing with this company and wanted to vent 😀 I opened one of these several years ago when I was in college. I've surely spent at least $1000 in fees for this $250 credit card. Now I'm trying to close the damn thing as my financial situation is much better, and somehow it seems impossible. I spoke to a customer service rep, paid the ~$275 balance and various fees she claimed would satisfy them and close my card, and now the date of closure has come and went and somehow there is a new $67 balance and I don't even use the card or carry it. Buyer (or borrower) beware!

First Premier is evil and the only reason i got one was to build my credit. They charge a fee for the online services. I dumped them recently for american express and Citibank 😉 The only reason i kept them for so long was because they were one of my first tradelines and i didn't know if canceling your oldest CC would do damage to a credit report.
