Anyone have any ideas deleting my trash taking FOREVER.. it was going on 14hrs now...

I never needed repair disk, i only checked it and it said fine, then I erased it on the partition for time machine, and I just restarted the comp and went for disk utility and erased it. It worked really fast. Good idea for remembering that if it happens again. :)

Glad to hear that erasing the partition worked to clear up the Trash emptying issue.
 
WOW. I just got another 8003 error yesterday... I can't figure why this would happen again. I cannot empty the trash. What else could cause this?

-I wasnt deleting any files from the hard drive since I was only deleting junk from my mac drive. Hmm...

I do know that I checked the drive from the utility app and it was fine, but is there another way showing that the drive is dying? I believe I built this drive about 1.5 years back.

I'm kind of getting worried losing files on that drive because I have it-

Partition #1- Files, Etc

Partition #2- Time Machine
 
This time Cocktail fixed it since the first time I needed all the other options everyone posted.

It sounds like it different problems can cause the ERROR 8003 pop ups.

I just wanted to update my thread if anyone has issues again.
