    Hello!
I'm currently looking for a new laptop to replace my current one, and I keep coming back to the idea of a rMBP. The main uses for it will be editing in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop, as well as 3D modelling and animation in AutoDesk Maya and Mudbox. Most the specs check out for what I need (I would be getting the top-tier model) but I'm a bit concerned about the graphics capabilities of the 750M. My current laptop has a GeForce 670M with 3GB of memory, and I can see that the 750M is only a tiny touch slower than the 670M, I'm concerned about losing a GB of VRAM and how it might affect my ability to work with high poly models and/or high res texturing.

So does anybody have any experience working with this kind of software on a rMBP? Any useful insights?

    Thanks a ton!

The GT 750M in the rMBP is of the GDDR5 version, so it outperforms the GTX 660M. Not sure about the 670M though.

Unless you play X-plane, even 2GB should be sufficient for high poly models.
