I received my phone yesterday and upon receiving, I went through the usual initial set up.

After checking out couple features, I immediately felt that left back side was heating up from warm to little bit hot which also resulted in phone being slowed down a bit.

Anybody has this problem?

I don't know if this is related to 5G or not but my iPhone X has been pretty cool even in medium-heavy loads of apps open behind.

I’ve read of a few people having problems with phones getting hot in the apple forums, it’s put me off ordering an iPhone 12 Pro Max for now until I see if it’s a wide spread problem or just a few units

After my initial setup on the 12 the phone felt very hot, I even had the warning ⚠️ on the camera that I couldn’t use the flash as the phone was too hot. It’s all settled down now & haven’t had any problems since. Guess it’s just the work load that was happening whilst everything was downloading after the transfer set up...

My phone just gets hot when I stream on 5G. My battery life is also not that great. I feel like indexing should be done by now (got it on Friday and was set up right then and there)
