I have an unlocked 5 that i use on international travel and a 6 plus i use in the states.

Why not get an iPod like a shuffle or nano and use that for music. It's what I did. Having two phones where one is a back up and is used mainly for music is overkill and is wasting your money.

With the original iPhone, I had three 16GB models. Kept two activated for awhile and then canceled the plan on one. Sold two of the phones.

With the the 3G iPhone, I also had two, kept them both activated through the entire contracts.

With the 4S, I had two, one on AT&T and one on Verizon. I eventually broke both contracts because the service at my house for both is non existent.

Now I have a 5S activated on T-Mobile and my second phone is a Nexus 4 on T-Mobile as well.

Always liked having two activated.

How do you forward the calls? I have 2 6's, one work and one personal and would love to not have to keep both in my pockets haha

Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding

then add my number

I believe it's up to your work phone carrier, it's suppose to be an option feature which cost additionally.

I don't know much about this... my company didn't tell me ANYTHING about usage of my phone. I just knew I had the setting and decided to make use of it. It's much better than carrying around 2 phones when I need to be on call.

So my backup phone has an upgrade. I was looking at getting the iphone 5c for 53 bucks just as a back up phone and to use when working out at the gym.

Other than that I would use everything else for the six plus. Then is 2016 ugrade to the 7 plus. Maybe keep skip buying the second iphone and keep my samsung epic as the backup, use the iphone 6 plus for everything else, and just continue to use the shuffle for working out. Then I save spending $53 and a $36 activation charge. Thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah, i use a 6+ as my main phone and a 6 as my backup.

Serious?

Never saw the point of an 'emergency phone' as I can't even recall a time that I wasn't able to use my phone for any reason. Even still I think it's a waste of money to have another high end smartphone like an iPhone 5C for a "emergencies" or to use as an iPod. Just get a used iPod for music. It's way cheaper and more practical. If you truly think you need a back up phone then why not just get a flip phone or an iPhone 3G or something? A $450 phone for "backup" wow.

I know most of us buying Apple products probably have lots of disposable income but some things just are an illogical waste of money. In my opinion the only justification for having two high end smartphones is if one is for work/business and the other is personal.

Own 6 and 6 plus. Great when talking on the 6 can look things up, reference emails etc on 6 plus.

Lots of practical applications.

What carrier? I forward my Verizon (work mobile) to my ATT (personal mobile). It's *72 plus your 10 digit number. To turn off, *73 from that mobile device.

I have 4 iPhones. 2 x 4S and 2 x 6+ models. My wife and I use the 6+ as actual phones (on a contract), and our two sons each "own" a 4S with no phone plan. They can still call us (and their grandfather) from home via FaceTime on WiFi, though. Oh, and we have one iPad as well.
