This issue has been going on for about week for me. Extremely frustrating and looking at Verizon's FB page, other people are having trouble. Was wondering if this is a Verizon problem or a Youtube problem.

According to YouTube's help page, try clearing the browser cache and see if that helps. I was having similar problems but clearing the cache fixed it. :)

This problem persists regardless of the browser I use.

I have been having this same issue as well, I'm on a MBP and generally use chrome or firefox. I have noticed it buffers at a quicker pace in safari.

Yeah, I noticed this also. My service is 50/25 and speedtest shows that I am getting those speeds. Anyway, the YouTube problems happen more when watching a HD video.

I don't know much about Verizon FIOS, but throttling of YouTube is pretty common. Perhaps this is the reason?

Hmm.. I don't think that's the reason. I may be wrong though since I don't understand throttling anything when it comes to home internet. I use it heavily for video streaming. Practically everything I watch is through my ATV via Hulu, Netflix, etc.

Anyway, my service went dead for ~24 hours. I assumed it was an outage. It didn't go back up. I called them and it wasn't an outage, so they "reset" my account. Everything has been smooth since then. I can stream HD video streams from multiple devices without a hiccup, even at "peak" hours.

Speeds are slowly getting better, but not as fast as it once was or should be.
