I've noticed on my iPhone X that my eyes are having a hard time adjusting to this screen. I can't get past the annoying motion blur or stutter when scrolling in apps like facebook and in Safari. I never noticed this on my 6s plus. I'm serious thinking about returning it and sticking with my 6s plus for another year until things get better. It seems like the X really needs the pro-motion 120 hrz. I'm surprised it didn't come with it and I didn't even think about that feature when buying. Just curious if it's just me or if anyone else experiences the same issue?

PROBLEM DISPLAY IPHONE X: Settings> General> Accessibility> Adjustment Screen> Invert Colors> Smart Color Reversing Now raise the brightness and scroll in the settings. Once again, is it shown an awkward ghost effect of this display? You can get the same effect by setting classic inversion colors and moving between the home screen pages with minimum brightness. Let me know if it is a defect of my phone or if it is a defect in the production.

I actually can see what u mean but it’s not annoying me. The bad thing is that I can see the gosthing effect.
Anyway I don’t think they will make another versione of the Super Retina display in the next 2 years

I just can’t get used to this display. It’s making me feel dizzy when I scroll. It’s really a beautiful display when a static image is on, but when scrolling, it’s a jagged blurry mess. I even handed it to a coworker to see what they think and they said the same thing and was making them dizzy too. That was before I even told them I was experiencing it. I am pretty sure I am going back to my plus.

I noticed this last night while scrolling through posts in Facebook, but though it was an artifact of the restore process that was running. I haven’t really seen it happen in other apps. Hopefully it’s not consistent, because I really like the phone otherwise.

I had the YouTube app open watching a video and then I minimized it to look up another video and while scrolling through the other videos while my video played in the background the choppiness of the scrolling was crazy! I'd never seen anything like that before on an iOs device before.

Same here. I love everything else about this phone but when I scroll it has a blurry \ ghosting \ lag effect that my 6S doesn't have, and that's definitely playing with my eyes and making me feel a bit dizzy. I'm 65% sure that I'm going to return my X because of this. Although, I'm wondering if this is a screen defect or if it's something that can be fixed via an update.

Yea I was thinking or hoping it would be fixed with a software update, but won’t hold my breath. I’d hate to return it and then a software update corrects the issue. It’s a tough decision.

I noticed this today using the Amazon app. My eyes teared up while scrolling. This will probably be fixed with an iOS update. I remember back in the day I had a Galaxy S4 that had the same scrolling issue, and surprisingly - Samsung actually pushed out a software update to fix it.

Anyone know where or how to report issues like this to Apple? I'm not a developer or anything. I figured it couldn't hurt to let them know and hopefully get an update sooner rather than later.

You can go the standard Apple Support route or you can email Tim Cook himself (tcook@apple.com) to escalate and get faster response. He likely won't respond but someone from Apple Executive Support might.

Its the way oled is. The pixels respond so fast and dont have blur like lcd does when changing colors. It makes motion look rigid. Apple could technically fix it by adding motion blur but I think that would be a bad solution. The other solution is to use higher refresh rate oled panels which obviously wouldnt help the current x.

This happens on 7+ too. I think either ios11.1 is not optimised or its the youtube app or both?

Wondering that myself lol

I just upgraded to the iOS 11.2 Beta 2 that came out today to see if it had a fix for this issue and there was no change.

Edit: And by "this issue" I meant the "scrolling \ blur" issue, not the Youtube issue.

Damn. Further issue on YouTube app is SwiftKey doesn’t work and just appears as a black box - no keyboard? In fact it looks like is playing up posting this! Bug bug bugs!
