Anyone having second thoughts on colors?

Okay I really wanted gold with the 5S but didn't end up getting the 5S. I've been having black phones for the past 6 years.

So I preordered the 6 Plus.

Now I might be having regrets. What have I done?! Anyone else having second thoughts?
 
Yeah, sort of. I preordered Space Gray before I'd had the chance to see the phones in person. At the time I liked all the colors equally, based on the photos.

After seeing them in person I like Space Gray dead last. But I'm not going to be too bothered by it. it's going in a case. After a month or so I'll forget about color choices entirely and will have my mind on something else. My current 5s and retina mini are Space Gray. Color choice fades into the background of my thoughts in daily use.
 
I got the Silver/White 6+....Ended up buying a Space Grey / Black 6...Something about the white with the curved edges I don't like...
 
I have the 6+ 128 verizon silver, wishing I had gotten SG. Not too sure about finding one in stock before my window closes.

What is it about the silver you don't like? I ask bc like the OP my last couple phones have been black/space gray and I thought I'd switch it up to silver this time (I ordered the same phone you did). In the store it looks great but I'm concerned about the white face plate making the screen look small if that makes sense.
 
I love the champagne gold of the iphone 5s, and now i got gold the iphone 6 but its shade is different kind of gold than the 5s and it sucks. The new gold seems a bit pinkish gold especially under the sunlight and this makes me look like girly. I regreted it!!
 
I'm debating on which color to get also. Leaning more towards space grey. I never had a white phone so I thought about gold this time but not sure how long I'll like it.

I had a silver plus and just returned it for a space grey plus. Much cleaner look in my opinion and makes the colors on the screen blend in nicely with the black faceplate. You won't be disappointed with the Space Grey
 
I got a silver 6+ and returning it for a space gray 6+. I didn't like the white bezel. I have a galaxy note 2 in white and that bezel is thinner so it does not look so big. The white bezel on the silver just made it look like a giant iphone 5 without any design imagination. Hopefully the space grey will blend in with the screen so it won't look so BIG.

If not then I'll get a regular 6 in space grey and be done with it.

BTW since there has been such a long back order I ordered the 6+ space grey before returning the silver one just to cut the back order time delay.
 
I've always had black iPhones and continued that trend with the 6+. I love it, but part of me also wonders if I should have gotten the gold. If I still feel that way when the 6S+ comes out, I'll order gold that go around.
 
Gold is so garish, don't get the appeal especially in these bigger phones. For me it was between silver and space grey. I went space gray as the black front helps make the bezel not appear so big. Had a white 4s, really helped hide any scratches but not a consideration with the aluminum back and also since a sleeve is required because of the camera.
 
Got space grey 64gb but changed it for a silver white 64gb and love it. White is the way to go,doesn't show finger marks or dust and just looks way better. The screen is awesome

Well I always get silver but I got space gray this time and location like yet. The only complaint is that it shows fingerprints more and dust but I keep a small microfiber cloth to keep it clean.
 
YMMV but for the 5s it was space grey > gold > silver

For the 6 it's space grey > silver > gold

To me, the silver on the 5s looked cheap - it looks better now with the full aluminum back, the opposite for the gold in my opinion. Nothing beats the full dark front though.

If Apple truly cared about design over margins there would be a slate option with a higher quality coat that didn't scuff easily...

Mainly that it comes with the white front, I'm ok with the silver overall by itself.
 
I've pre-ordered the grey because it has a black surround which I prefer.

But I'm interested to know if there's a difference between the black and white this time for photography.
For example, way back with the 4, quite a difference was reported

Something like that with this phone may make me second guess my decision.
 
Now that I've had the Space Gray for a day I'm loving it. I found out under different lighting it can actually look like a gold iPhone or a silver iPhone. Last night under warm incandescent lighting it looked just like a gold iPhone. I was really surprised. In daylight by the window it looks silver. Of course I'm still left with the black bezels but they look great.

Are you color blind by chance? There nothing remotely "pink" about the gold color lol
 
Wanted gold got gold love gold. :apple:

The only thing garish are people's opinions on what color is acceptable for my phone.

Yeah, to be honest the backs of the silver and space gray are almost the same.

I love the black front on the space gray though. Looks so incredibly cool when the screen is off. Even more so this year with the slightly curved glass
