Good so far on my MB that I had previously rolled back to 10.5.8 The reason I had rolled back because of (OpenGL errors on the NVidia 9400m) seems to be fixed. No other problems so far, however it is early days.

Perfect upgrade for me. The reason you don't see posts about problem free upgrades is because in most cases, people only post if they have a problem.

Ok for me...

In early September I installed 10.6.0 right over 10.5.8 - no problems - not a clean install, just upgraded.

I then updated to 10.6.1 the day it came out. It broke my color profiles on my external Monitor. Updated to 10.6.2 yesterday and it fixed my color profiles back the way they were.

Other than this, it's been a pretty uneventful transition for me. I can't really tell what's been fixed (other then my monitor colors) since I was having no other issues prior to 10.6.2.

Well my upgrade went smooth and fast to 10.6.2 but I used the combo update which I downloaded first. I think that is safer than using software update. No issues seen so far. Sound, menu bar, everything seems fine.

No problems with 10.6.2 here, either.

I'm using a white [2nd revision] iMac 24".

All my updates have been installed over the "pre-release" 10a432 build of the 10.6.0 beta.

No problems whatsoever. Have had zero problems with either leopard or snow leopard since i bought mine in june.

No major problems. Just that updating to 10.6.2 turned my firewall off.

I don't think I've seen a single problem free upgrade post yet. I guess cloning the drive prior to this update is in order.

I had a problem free upgrade to 10.6.2. SL has been running great on my system since I first installed it. However, I make it a practice to clone my system (or update my clone) prior to installing any major update, and I did so prior to 10.6.2. Fortunately, I never had cause to rollback.

I have an interesting issue at hand. I installed the update moments ago, however the sound is not fully working. I say "fully" because I can hear the startup sound, but once the desktop comes up, no sound works at all. I've cleared my PRAM, ran ONYX, reset permissions- all to no avail. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Check out your Sound preferences...see if internal speakers have been selected as your chosen sound output
